The history of the Harrogate and District General Hospital

 

Useful innovation was started in 1951 by the formation of a "Joint Staff Consultation Committee," consisting on the one hand of representatives of the ancillary staff, nurses, porters, engineers, etc, and of members of the House Committee on the other. The committee meets about four times a year and matters of common interest are discussed. Many useful suggestions for alteration and improvement have been put forward from the staff side, and the meetings are valuable in promoting and maintaining a harmonious relationship between the two sides of hospital administration.
