To Robert Bates of Plompton, Yeoman, and Thomas Gell, clerk to
Richard Terry and Company of Knaresborough, Banker, all my household furniture and personal effects Upon Trust to allow my daughter,
Mary Howgate, the use of them as long as she continues to live apart from her husband
Jonathan Howgate. At her death, or reunion with her husband, the same to my grandchildren
Mary Howgate and Ann Howgate.
To my grandson John Howgate £200 after the death of my daughter.
My personal estate on Trust to be invested and the income paid to my daughter. At her death the principal sum to be divided amongst my grandchildren
Mary Howgate, William Thompson Howgate, and Ann
Howgate.
My Copyhold property at Back Lane [this becomes Stockwell Road], Knaresborough, Upon Trust to be sold and the money to be invested for my daughter. At her death the principal sum to be divided amongst my grandchildren as above.
