All my copyhold property in Clint to my eldest son Richard
Batty.
The house and garth in Bishop Thornton, now used as a Public House by
Robert Cundall, and the three parcels of land adjoining called Mill Bank and now occupied by
Richard Darnbrough, to my son Richard.
The several parcels of land inclosed from the Moor at Bishop Thornton containing 18 acres and occupied by
Richard Darnbrough to my son Richard.
My farmhouse and outbuildings in Bishop Thornton and all the closes of adjoining land now occupied by
Mary Batty, widow, and Richard Darnbrough, to my second son
Thomas Batty chargeable with an annuity of £20 to my wife
Ann Batty.
All my estate and hereditaments at Husthwaite to my daughter Frances
Batty.
All my personal effects to my friends Thomas Gibson of Sutton, yeoman, and
William Kay of Easingwold, bricklayer, Upon Trust to convert into money and place at interest. Interest to be used to bring up my youngest son
James Batty.
I appoint my Trustees and my wife as executors and guardians of my children in their minorities.
