St Wilfrid's Church, Harrogate

Cathedrals and Churches, whether ancient or modern, were built not to be merely looked at and admired, nor treated as repositories of art or archaeology, but for the worship of God, and to be places where human souls can be united with Him.

The worship of Saint Wilfrid's Church, Catholic and English, has a quality of its own. Only true worshippers can really appreciate the purpose of its building. We would ask all visitors to pray for its work, to join in its worship if possible, and, since obviously the mere maintenance of a church and its work of such a standard must cost money, to help materially as they feel they can.
